Tailor-made Octagon Tent for Shanghai Jiao Tong University Enrollment Day

The Event Story
A day in August, we were called by our client to their office, we were told that the enrollment day was coming; it was a big day for new students and their parents. Shanghai Jiao Tong University is one of the country’s best which was established in 1896. We are proud for working for them on every enrollment day. This time, we were told that they want a structure to print their round school emblem on the top so that nice aerial photographs could be taken. Every year, aerial footage was preserved for this meaningful moment. And this time, they want the whole red Shanghai Jiao Tong University Emblem in the picture.

What we did
After closely communicated with the host, we suggested an Octagon Tent with low roof pitch. The roof pitch would be very small, so that from the aerial footage it would look just like the original school emblem. The structure remained its features of reusable and re-locatable, so it can be reused whenever it is needed. Since the time was tight, from design, drawing to producing and at last handover, we finish the job in ten days.
